Just a tiny bubbling fountain adding beauty to the dream
We hardly even noticed as it grew into a brook
we could have stopped it then if wed known how little it took
BUT
It made us laugh and brought variety,
We let it grow into a stream..
This steady flow of water adding beauty to the dream
Often times I reflect on the words your motherd say
The things that endear you now, will annoy you someday
The stream kept growing silently
And steadily it grew
Suddenly it was apparent it was splitting me and you
But we barely paid attention as across the waves wed ride,
It didnt really matter we could cross from side to side.
Then the stream became a river and it began to seem
that the swiftly moving river began to erode the dream
heres were irony sets in and takes its brutal toll
we cut in some outlets, an attempt to gain control..
and the water kept on flowing, it never did rescind
the distance ever widening, destroying from within
Now here I stand and wonder as I see the other side
I am not sure you can hear me far across this great divide
What was a harmless trickle once has become a lake
And crossing it is difficult as lives are now at stake
we stand so many miles apart,
with tattered souls and broken hearts
the Lake is miles wider now and is a formidable riff,
and I can't even see you now, gazing off my cliff
accross the water I can't even find the other side
And I will never reach you as this trickle us divides

once I thought I had Mono for about 6 months, but it turned out I was just really bored.
